Are you kidding me? Was that all in ONE class?

I needed oxygen just for watching it!

I think "free running" would pretty much be the title of any run you would do here in Costa Rica. Every time I step out for a run, I can count on dodging and if I was brave I would even do a roll or two to dodge the cars that try to take me out. It is always an adventure for sure. Tell them to watch the crazy ladies in SUV's they are the most dangerous, especially if they are talking on the cell phones!

Yeah, Manrique, I hear you! They can now do the class without sleeping the rest of the day - lol!!!

I hadn't even thought of cars as part of the danger, but of course! You painted an accurate picture of those drivers....

Fun! To watch... I like watching other people exercise.

If they like Free Running, check out this clip from my favorite TV show, Top Gear (car race vs. free runners):

P.S. Glad to hear it's helping Ryan's asthma. I read something just the other day that this reminded me of. I used to work at Punahou School in Honolulu (from where your buddy Barack Obama happened to graduate), and I still get their magazine. Their new athletic director used to be a kid with asthma and her doctor recommended she try out for track & field. She went out and set a record for the mile that stood at her school for 16 years. Here's a link if you want to check it out (the first three paragraphs cover the main point): http://www.punahou.edu/page.cfm?p=2307

Wow, impressive woman - that is nice to read. Since he's been exercising so hard, asthma is simply not an issue now. It's odd that he hasn't had one episode at all... he gets out of breath, but that's from all that exercise. Not asthma... it's great!

Hi,
I am writing from Singapore. I am representing a bunch of MBA students under University of Strathclyde. I have been reading the various blogs about Costa Rica as part of our research.

I really enjoy your very very very extensive writing.

We have been assigned to work on a project entitled “Costa Rica in 2020”. A scenario analysis of Costa Rica in 10 years.

I am hoping to get your input on the following questions.

1) What are the main issues affecting the growth of Costa Rica?
2) What are the first three words that came to your mind about Costa Rica?
3) If you can change one thing in Costa Rica, what would that be?

We look forward to your assistance. Much appreciated.

P/S – Will continue to read your blog

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond, Edgar! I hope you were able to get good info from some of the other bloggers.

1) Runaway inflation and corruption in government, both of which interfere with good infrastructure.

2) Peaceful, beautiful, green.

3) Allow truly free trade: no customs' duty on imported items. Duty is simply a way to tax foreigners while at the same time keeping great stuff out of the hands of locals!
