Heading Home

With a nice long stop in Miami to SHOP. (Long as in maybe an hour, until I go into sensory overload.) But, baby, oh baby: this is livin’! Just got my rental car from Avis, breakfast with Pen, then drive to Miami, shop, visit Sandford in the hospital, then head to FLL to fly home . . . → Read More About Heading Home

She Lives.

Sandford did great today. She survived the open heart surgery, everything went like clockwork. They even took out the breathing tube already! If she’s up for a visit by Friday, I’ll go see her before coming home. She rocks.

Book Review: On Bumping into the Divine

Now that I'm a trippy spiritual being instead of the annoying human doing I was before almost dying, a couple of spiritual books have found their way onto my nightstand. Years ago, while trying to Find Myself, I read them all. Desperate for answers, I read every self help, know thyself and "become a spiritual being" book I could find. For years, I read. Today, after years working a spiritual program, . . . → Read More About Book Review: On Bumping into the Divine

Still In Shock

You will be, too, when you read this, especially if you’ve ever had first-hand experience with migración. If you are moving to Costa Rica, a visit to migración will be required sooner or later. By the way, be sure to take your own papel higenico [pa-PELL ee-HEN-ick-oh, t.p.] Trust me, you will be there so long, you will have to use the facilities and no t.p. on hand. So to speak. But, on to better news:

Since Ryan is under 18, he has to have permission from Costa Rica’s migración to fly out of the country. Yes, even though . . . → Read More About Still In Shock
