"Today’s the day!" as Mel Fisher would intone. The Little Theatre Group‘s production of "Come Back…" opens tonight at 7:30p at the Blanche Brown Theatre in Escazu. Tickets are 1500 colones ($5) for adults and 1000 colones ($2) for students. You can’t do better than that for live theatre!!!

Rehearsals are in full swing for Come Back to the Five & Dime Jimmy Dean Jimmy Dean. I play Sissy, a brash buxom bleached blonde, the part Cher played in the movie. The plan was for me to wear a wig for this part, a hideous idea: hot, itchy and I’d have hat hair for the opening night party. This could not be allowed to happen. So I decided to bleach my hair blonde. I’ve been blonde before, no sweat.

Boogie Down in, um, San Pedro

On our way home from The Road to Volcan Barva, we passed a festival in Barva San Pedro’s town square. Last night, when I wrote this, I identified this village as Barva. This morning, Mr. I-Know-Where-I-Am-And-You-Don’t informed me it is the village of San Pedro.

Never Alone
